    Pros

Amazing resources for undergrads. Faculty seem to truly enjoy getting to know undergrads. STUDY ABROAD! Opportunities for undergrads to do real research starting the freshman year! Lots of great food, especially organic, local, and homemade foods. Facilities are incredible and freshman seem to get the best dorms. Students really are coming from all over the globe and all backgrounds--yes Hanover's a small town, but I'm always so impressed that this beautiful little college town attracts top students and faculty from around the world. Everyone in the town is super friendly and in the summer everyone's chatting on the side walks with friends and people they just met. I always felt safe--students feel comfortable leaving materials in the library while they go get dinner. If you like the outdoors you have one of the most beautiful environments to enjoy; if you don't like the outdoors just work inside and enjoy the beautiful setting through the windows.

    Cons

Although Dartmouth brings in all types of shows...I think around 500 each year (for just $5 for students), and Dartmouth brings great speakers and individuals who are the top of their field--and students get to really interact with them (dinners, hanging out at their house, frank discussions); students get a sense that because Dartmouth's small they should be able to do everything--but that's really just impossible there's just too much happening. However, if you want a particular show or do something particular, you don't have the same flexibility to do it as you would in a big city (we got all the same great shows...but only a couple at a time). Greek life can be overwhelming for some students--it's really different than I expected and although I didn't join, I found it not nearly as intrusive as I expected.

It feels like everyone I know who went to Dartmouth RAVES about the school! I still see alums everywhere I go and instantly they want to chat about the school and connect. It's one giant family--and with that can come lots of disagreements, but how many alumni care so much about their alma mater to spend so much time focused on trying to shape its future long after they graduate? College is great for everyone for those four years--Dartmouth is great for all its students for life!
